Welcome to Face Appeal’s nonprofit page. To give you a little background on why this nonprofit was started, I will tell my story…

In July 2020, I, Trina Haire, was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer. This was a surprise to me because of how well I stayed active with my dance background, I cleanse and detox my body, and I stay on top of medical exams. I was told a year prior that my small lump was a milk duct that was harmless from breastfeeding my 3 children. About 9 months later, the growth had tripled and forced them to exam the lump. It was cancer. At that moment, my life flashed before my eyes. I thought about leaving this earth with my children being so small. What am I going to do about this in the middle of a pandemic? Although there are many great ways to fight cancer, when you first hear the news, you can only think of the bad; especially not knowing any full details about it yet.

Fast forward to the end of 2020, I have finished my chemotherapy, getting ready for surgery, and finishing off with radiation and Herceptin. The journey will continue. In the midst of this all, Ive lost all of my hair, including my eyebrows. Im sure they will grow back, but that isn’t always the case for many women. No matter how many women say “its just hair”, almost all women care how they look and feel. The hair industry and brow industry isn’t a multimillion dollar industry for no reason. My mission is to make even the smallest transformation of an eyebrow tattoo, make a woman feel herself again. Its a start right?. My plan is to select women who share their story, and give them beautiful semi-permanent eyebrows again. Not only do I want to do this, I’d love to have beauty basket giveaways to my surviving sisters. My purpose is to uplift through this very tough journey.
